Microsoft Authenticator
You will need to download the Microsoft Authenticator app on your iPhone or Android mobile device.
You will receive an email from Kreischer Miller Leapfile with your user login credentials. Please have that downloaded and ready.
To setup your Kreischer Miller Microsoft 365 user account first go to this link Remote Desktop Web Client. If you have already signed in with an existing Microsoft account, please sign out.
When you first log in using your Kreischer Miller credentials and temporary password, you will be asked for more required information. This is where you will setup the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device.
Open the Authenticator app on your mobile device and add a work or school account.
Choose Scan QR code. You may need to authorize the app to allow the use of your camera.
On the “More Information Required” screen choose Next.
On the “How should we contact you” screen set to mobile app and choose Receive Notifications for Verification and click Setup to generate the QR Code.
Scan the QR Code with your phone. You will need to allow notifications to be sent to your phone then click Next.
.) Once the mobile app is configured, click Next.
.) Approve the sign in on your phone and click Done.
.) You will now be prompted to change your password. Your password must be at least 15 characters, use a capital letter, lower case letter, symbol, and a number.
.) You will be prompted to provide an additional authentication method in case you forget your password or need to reset it.
.) On the “Don’t lose access to your account” screen, next to “Authentication Phone is not configured,” click “Set it up now.”
.) Enter your country code and phone number. Choose the method Txt or Call.
.) Enter the verification number sent to your device and click verify, then click finish.
.) You should now be signed into the remote desktop environment.
VDI Session Desktop
Signing into the Session Desktop.
Double click on Session Desktop, you will be asked to access local resources. Choose microphone and click allow. (You will need this for Teams meetings within your remote desktop environment.)
You be prompted to enter your credentials. Enter your Kreischer Miller email and the new password you setup.
Give it a few minutes to initialize the remote desktop session.
When the remote desktop loads, close the LeapFile login screen (we will sign into that later).
Sign into Teams with your Kreischer Miller account. (You may be prompted to approve a sign in again in the authenticator app)
Open Outlook and sign in with your Kreischer Miller account. Do not setup any email account other than your Kreischer Miller account. Also uncheck setup Outlook Mobile on my phone too.
Sign into Setup Microsoft Office (Active Office) using your Kreischer Miller credentials. (You may be prompted to approve a sign in again in the authenticator app)
Open the LeapFile Desktop App from the Start/Programs menu.
.) Enter kreischermiller.leapfile.net for the URL.
.) Enter your username (first initial and last name) not your Kreischer Miller email.
Enter the password you created for your Kreischer Miller account. Click close on “You have successfully logged in.”
.) You can close the Leapfile Desktop app, it will continue to run in the background.
Adobe Acrobat DC
.) (Adobe sign in uses your Kreischer Miller email address and password to authenticate.) (You may be prompted to approve a sign in again in the authenticator app)
Engagement first time login
Open CCH Engagement.
Login using your username (first initial, last name).
Enter your temporary password.
Make sure Location is set to Office.
If you are prompted for Office Server name, enter KMCFR and make sure the Home Office Server box is checked.
It will prompt “New Knowledge Coach Content exists. Do you want to synchronize all new content?” If you click Yes, it will take up to 30 minutes to complete the synchronization. For now, click no and let the Knowledge Coach Content synchronize the next time you log into Engagement.
Change Password. At least 8 characters, with at least 1 upper case, 1 lowercase, 1 digit & 1 special charter. (Must not contain staff member name).
Click Yes to create a new profile on this computer.
Click Yes to make it your default profile.

Practice Management (Time entry)
Open CCH ProSystem Practice Management Time Entry.
Enter your username (first initial and last name).
You will be prompted to create a password. Requirements are:
· Cannot contain the User ID
· Must be 8 – 32 characters
· Include at least 1 upper case, 1 lower case, 1 number and 1 special character.
